Sterling silver can tarnish easily. It is best to store your precious metal jewelry in an area unexposed to air. Other sources of tarnish include hair spray, lotion, perfume, other beauty products and even natural body oils. It may be best to put jewelry on last after using these products. A polishing cloth intended for sterling silver, such as a Sunshine Polishing Cloth, is recommended for occasional cleaning. Sterling silver chains can be dipped in jewelry cleaning solution to remove tarnish. Do not use cleaning solution on hand-stamped pieces as this will remove the oxidation (darkening agent) in the characters. What is the turnaround time for custom Hip To Be Me products? TOP
